Well, let me just say it WASN'T because I was off reading that new book I told you about. Sad to say, it's not pulling me in like BLJ did.
Anyway, I wanted to reflect.
2006 was the year that the Morack household became DIAPER FREE! Yes, folks, you heard it right. NO MORE POOPIES! Adrian now wears
2006 was the year that our techie/geeky family ventured beyond our screens of entertainment and into the world of SPORTS. God help us all.
Oh, speaking of sports, let me throw in a
I read very few books during 2006, because I'd rather read forums and magazines. Ain't that intelligent? Listen carefully and you shall hear a collective gasp from my TWTM friends.
I did, however, watch more movies than I could possibly count...
If you had a TV like ours, you'd probably have done the same...
Some of my favorites:
Thank You For Smoking So smart, so funny, so twisted!
Running Scared - Not for the faint of heart or conservative movie viewers, but we loved it.
Tristan and Isolde Dreamy...
Two for the Money Pacino makes me laugh, again!
Domino After I finish prancing in Isolde's dress, can I can kick some arse Domino-style? I wanna be Domino when I grow up.
And...while it was old news to everyone else on the planet... I finally discovered the coolest show that ever came on TV. ~Firefly~
In 2006 we found the coolest Jesus Place. Great people, lots of love, laughs, and friendship. Jesus is always there. I'm not talking about some Mexican guy, either. Although Mexicans are welcome, too.
2006 was the year we met Sump. Sump ate my phone. Sump stinks, and today I killed old Sumpy and got a new one. Sump is a pump. A really yucky one. See previous post if you're so inclined.
2006 is the year we saw a monkey pee from way up in a tree. The kids found this terribly funny. Please don't call them dorks. They will tell you what a dork is, and you probably don't want to know.
2006 is the year that Jordan learned to read. This is a great accomplishment, but I suddenly realized there are many things I wish he couldn't read, like trashy tshirts and gaming magazines.
2006 is the year Cayden started Kindergarten, and dreamed of kissing pretty girls. They move fast these days don't they? He's driving, too! (four-wheeler)
2006 is the year my hair really started turning gray. This doesn't have a darn thing to do with turning 30, either.
2006 was a year of renewal and rebuilding for our family. Christopher and I have renewed our relationship with one another and with Jesus. We've been building stronger bonds with our children, as well as rebuilding our lives after the hurricane of '05. Somewhere along the way, my husband really did become my absolute best friend. There's nothing he doesn't know and so very little he doesn't understand about me. I'm just in awe that our love continues to transcend expectation and imagination. Amazing that my heart still leaps and the butterflies still dance at his touch. I am so thankful for such a captivating soul to have joined my own
Oh, and we didn't get killed by falling rocks, either. Ain't life grand?

Girl! There are too many reasons to insert LOL! in this post . . .but probably the most pertinent of the day would be:
