Definitely The Well-Trained Mind.
When I read it, it clicked. Really clicked. Jordan loves the resources we've pulled from this book, and so do I.
The Internet.
Next choice: Sonlight Catalog. Excellent reading lists.
This is hard. I'm very careful when I make purchases, and it takes me forever to make up my mind. I am seeing the "fruits of my mental labor" as I use pretty much EVERYTHING I buy. I bought a 10 dollar "First Encyclopedia of Science" for the incorporated science in our MFW program. I won't use it. We're going with Zoology 1 instead.
Last year? We didn't do much last year thanks to the Hurricane. I hardly remember last year...
We dabbled with Story of the World 2 activity guide. I was thankful for the reading lists. I should put that right up there with the Sonlight catalog.
Oh, does that library sale count? Gosh, I actually bought the bulk of the books we'll need for the next 10 years for less than 100 bucks.
Next year?!? We'll be using:
Latin Christiana 1
Spelling Power
Singapore Math
Drawing With Children
My Father's World Kindergarten/1st grade
Science and History to be determined...
How's that for ONE resource?
A really incredible telescope. Oh, and I'm drooling over Tapesty of Grace's redesign. Did I mention Classical Writing Aesop? We may use that next year.
I should just take out the word "ONE" from all these questions. Too restricting.
ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH EXISTED:
Gosh, I dunno. The Sunshyne Curriculum? Everything laid out, all my choices, perfectly flexible lesson plans... and all I have to do is take a hot bath... nice.
CBD, even though it is not be entirely homeschool related.
Home Science Tools has a good one, too.
I find Rainbow Resource's catalog daunting, but I order from them at least yearly.
ONE WEBSITE YOU USE REGULARLY:
I visit the Well-Trained Mind Curriculum board daily. Keeps me current with new curriculum choices. Keeps Christopher broke, too.
