Lent?

I know today is Mardi Gras, and I know tomorrow is the first day of Lent. I don't know the how's and why's and who's, but I don't think it matters too much for now. I know that people give something up for lent, like a fast. I think that's a good thing. I decided this year that this would be a good time to get some balance in my life, too.

So, for the next 40 days? or so, I'm going to abstain from visiting all those internet forums that drain my time away. Instead of getting up in the morning and reading the forums while I sip my coffee, I'm going to read my Bible. I'm going to spend time reading the Bible to the boys, too. I may even use some of that time to paint my house. There's lots of time to be utilized, really. I've a feeling I'll have read the whole Bible back and front, painted my house AND my neighbor's house just in the time I normally spend online.

So, that's it. Bye-bye WTM, FF, Sonlight, and that alien-abduction place... See ya in 40 days.

I fully intend to continue blogging. Therefore, my 4 regular readers (ok, maybe not that many) will still be able to keep up with my incredibly adventurous life.
